Protect Lobsters, Crabs and other Crustaceans

Currently, lobsters and crabs, while having sophisticated nervous systems, are often boiled or cut up alive. The Animal Welfare Act does not cover invertebrates although it does allow the government to extend protection to them if it so chooses.

Please sign the petition to support extending the Animal Welfare Act to lobsters and crabs.

Please send polite emails urging an extension of the Animal Welfare Act to:

Neil Parish MP, Chairman of the Associate Party Group for Animal Welfare, neil.parish.mp@parliament.uk Richard Benyon MP, Minister for Fisheries, richard.benyon.mp@parliament.uk
