Stop the slaughter of seals
More than 300 seals have been shot by Scottish fish farmers in the past 18 months. A campaign has begun to stop the importation into the US of salmon from Scottish farms that kill seals. In America, seals and other sea mammals are protected by law, and fish farmers must use only non-lethal measures to deter them from the farms.
More informationPlease contact Jane Lubchenco, the under secretary of commerce for oceans, and urge her to use the Marine Mammal Protection Act to ban the importation of fish from the Scottish farms that kill seals.
