The Taiji Dolphin Hunt

The annual Taiji Cove dolphin hunt has once again taken place in Japan. 200 dolphins were driven into nets and separated into smaller groups. Dolphins were seen frantically trying to reach members of their own pods caught in other sections. According to Sea Shepherd, the dolphins appeared bloodied and have been starved for a prolonged period. Many of the animals will be slaughtered, while others – those deemed ‘prettiest’ – will be sold into a life of captivity in aquaria and marine parks.

Please send polite emails of complaint to the Japanese embassy.
