Animal Aid

We the undersigned:

• Believe that the badger is being unfairly blamed for the spread of TB in cattle. In reality, the disease is caused by intensive farming - the crowded, dirty conditions in which cattle are kept, combined with the stress and poor health they suffer. Licensing farmers and landowners to kill more badgers is a vicious exercise in scapegoating that will fail to halt the disease.
• Call upon the government to deal with the problems of the cattle industry instead of blaming badgers.
