Take Local Action
Become an Animal Aid local activist
Sign up to our activist e-news and be kept up-to-date with our campaign initiatives and how you can get involved. We will also let you know about new resources that you can bulk order for street stalls or library displays. Activism can take many forms from letter writing or putting up a poster in your local shop window to organising a street stall, library display or event.
Join a local group
This is a fantastic way to meet other like-minded people. Get together at monthly meetings to share ideas, plan local demos, street stalls, displays, events or promotions and keep in touch with campaigns. Email or call 01732 364546 to find out if there’s a local group in your area. If there’s not, we can help you to start your own. See our Campaigning Guide for more information.
Already part of a local group?
Become an Animal Aid local contact. We notify our contacts of initiatives that we need help with, such as our annual Veggie Month promotion and Horse Racing Awareness Week. We will send you copies of new resources. If Animal Aid supporters want to make contact with others in their area, we put them in touch with you. Email or call us on 01732 364546 if you are interested.
Become a street collector
Street collections are a vital source of funds for us. If you would like to offer your help at a collection near you, please call our Fundraising department on 01732 364546 or find out about street collections in your area.
Give School Talks
Informing and empowering young people is one of the best ways to create a cruelty-free future. You can help by joining Animal Aid’s school speaker network and giving talks in your local area.
