Take Local Action
Start a local group
A fantastic way to meet other like-minded people. Get together at monthly meetings to share ideas, plan local demos or promotions and keep in touch with campaigns. We can contact other Animal Aid supporters in your area and encourage them to join your new group. For more info, call Kelly on ext. 227.
Become a local contact
We notify our contacts of initiatives that we need help with, such as our annual Veggie Month promotion and Horse Racing Awareness Week. We send you copies of new resources to bulk order for street stalls or library displays. If you are happy to do media interviews, we will pass on your details to radio stations or newspapers wanting to speak to someone local. If Animal Aid supporters want to make contact with others in their area, we put them in touch with you. If you don't want to do stalls but are happy talking to the press, or vice versa, we still want you on board! Chat to Kelly in Campaigns on ext. 227 if you are interested.
Become a street collector
Street collections are a vital source of funds for us. If you would like to offer your help at a collection near you, please call Karin in Fundraising on ext. 223 or find out about street collections in your area.
Sign up as an Animal Aid Postie
Help us to distribute our leaflets locally. We will send you a leaflet that is suitable for door-dropping, not more than four times a year, and as many as you specify - 20, 50, 100 or more. To register, call Karin ext. 223.
Join the School Speaker network
Take our message to young adults, a key audience to reach. The seeds of compassion that you plant will help create a kinder future. All your expenses will be covered and we provide support and training to turn you into a confident speaker. For more info, call Ann Harriman or Carole Backler in the Education Department on ext. 221 or 234.
