Very Easy Gingerbread

  • 220g self-raising flour
  • 225g sugar
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 225ml soya milk
  • 4oz margarine
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup


  1. Mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. Meanwhile over a gentle heat, stir the soya milk, margarine and golden syrup until dissolved.
  3. Then add bit by bit to the dry stuff.
  4. Cook at Gas Mark 2 for one hour, with sheet of tin foil on top.
  5. Store well wrapped.
