New Vivisection Directive

Posted 15 August 2011

The new European Directive governing animal research across the EU is now in the process of being introduced into UK law. The Home Office has launched a consultation on this move. The law from Europe falls far short of what Animal Aid calls for and, in some areas, it could weaken UK law still further. We need your help to get the best outcome for animals possible.

The consultation is long and complex but we have offered suggested responses for the 30 or so questions we think are most urgent.

Responses can be sent by email to
Or sent by mail to:

The deadline is 5th September.
