The Daily Express joined forces with Animal Aid and the Midland Racehorse Care Centre to expose the cruel trade in horsemeat. This is the side of horseracing that the bookies would rather you did not see - ‘retired’ race horses sold through markets to be slaughtered and their meat sold abroad.
