Animal Aid

Come to our wreath ceremony for animal victims of war

Posted 1 November 2011

To commemorate the suffering of animals in war, Animal Aid will be holding a short wreath-laying ceremony on November 11th. While the human victims of war are traditionally remembered on this date, the millions of animals who have also suffered and died are rarely mentioned. The ceremony will take place at the Animals in War Memorial at Brookes Gate, Park Lane, London.

Please arrive by 1:45pm, as the event begins promptly at 2pm. Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, and Animal Aid director Andrew Tyler, will both be speaking. This will be followed by a minute’s silence.

And if you haven’t already done so, please order Animal Aid’s special purple poppy, which commemorates the animal victims of human conflict. We also offer poppy wreaths.
