Sponsored Sit-in for Chickens
In Swadlincote, Derbyshire, Catriona and three of her classmates wanted to make sure that all her fellow students knew about how battery hens were kept, so they held a sponsored sit-in. They made a chicken costume, collected sponsorship and then one member spent two hours sitting in the school hall crammed into the cage. They also gave talks to some classes about chickens and handed out leaflets. Fantastic work!
