Campaigner profile: A master leafleter

15-year-old Rhys could give a master class on how to spread the word about animal cruelty!

He’s a dedicated photographer, carrying his camera with him everywhere, and it occurred to him that his rucksack could have a dual purpose. Now along with his camera, the rucksack contains a good supply of leaflets. He gives leaflets out at school, and will sneak leaflets into his friends’ books, so that they’ll come across them later. He leaves leaflets in shops and leaves them around school. He also posts leaflets through letter boxes – he’ll pick a street and with just 10 or 15 minutes of work, loads more people will know about vegetarianism or Rhys’s topic of choice that day. He even manages to fit it in on the way home from school from time to time! Door-to-door leafleting is a quick and easy way to reach lots of people – go with a friend, and the time quickly goes by.

Rhys sent our veggie viral to his girlfriend and his other friends, and having viewed it, his girlfriend and one of her friends have decided to go veggie. Why not show your friends?

Rhys is also active online, responding to action alerts on our website by sending emails to the companies and organisations identified.

Rhys shows that there are lots of ways to fit campaigning activities into your daily life. The animals are lucky to have him on their side. Thanks Rhys!
