Campaigner – Animal Farming

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented campaigner to join our campaigns team. The role will be to lead our work to expose the cruelty of animal farming.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

  • Close attention to detail in order to ensure accuracy
  • Good interpersonal skills – a natural team player
  • Ability to organise a diverse workload, prioritise and work under pressure
  • Experience of running successful campaigns – ideally at professional level – and working with the media
  • Ability to deal with distressing subject matter, including undercover film footage
  • Experience of political lobbying
  • Knowledge of digital campaigning, especially using social media
  • Creative and strategic skills to develop and deliver new awareness campaigns
  • Dedication to ending animal suffering.

The role will involve:

  • Planning, carrying out and evaluating Animal Aid’s farming and slaughter campaign
  • Developing new campaign initiatives, and adjusting these to communicate with different audiences
  • Reviewing footage from undercover investigations and reporting to the relevant authorities where necessary
  • Working with the media to expose animal suffering
  • Dealing with general enquiries from supporters and members of the public relating to animal farming.
  • Creating and commissioning content for social media and online campaigning.

You must be committed to the objectives of the organisation and be in tune with Animal Aid’s ethical, vegan stance and outlook.

This position will involve hybrid-workingin the Tonbridge office, working at home and travel in the UK.

 

Salary: £31k – £35k, salary dependent on skills and experience.
