Action across the nation to ban greyhound racing
Our second week of action in the campaign to end greyhound racing could not be contained to a single week! It kicked off on the 18th of October with a demonstration at Brighton and Hove racetrack on the south coast, and an outreach day 300 miles away in Saltburn – and then continued to see actions take place just about everywhere in between! Thanks to the amazing work of Shut Down Campaigns and all the dedicated activists who took to the streets to promote the campaign and call for the closure of their local tracks!Â
Since the campaign to end greyhound racing launched this summer, we have already smashed our first target of 10,000 signatures on the government petition, but we need to get to 100,000 to trigger a parliamentary debate. So, this week of action has been all about letting the public know that it’s not over yet, we still need your support!Â

There will be more weeks and days of action coming up, and plenty more opportunities to get involved with the fight to end greyhound racing. If you want to find out what’s going on in your local area, our Greyhound Action Hub has everything you need to find campaigners near you who you can team up with!Â
We have until 30th January 2026 to get 100,000 signatures, so keep sharing the petition and together we will end greyhound racing!Â
