For those horrified by the horse deaths at the 2017 Cheltenham Festival, please make a pledge to help with Animal Aid's Horse Racing Awareness Week, which takes place in the days leading up to the notorious Grand National race on 8 April. It is the one time of year that people may be tempted to place a bet on horse racing, so we need to get our leaflets out to as many people as possible.
Dame Rose (FR), a young five-year-old mare, has collapsed and died after finishing fourth in a two-and-a-half mile hurdle race at the notorious Cheltenham Racecourse.
