Ask your MP to sign a new Early Day Motion to end horse slaughter in the UK.
Last year, the BBC1 Panorama documentary The Dark Side of Horse Racing used Animal Aid’s undercover footage to expose this hidden and sinister reality of what happens to many horses when they are no longer profitable. The documentary caused a huge stir, and we now have the opportunity to achieve change at government level.
Animal Aid is campaigning to bring an end to horse slaughter in the UK. The root of the problem is unregulated breeding of all types of horses – from feral ponies right through to thoroughbred horses from the racing industry. The number of horses being produced is unsustainable, and horses can end up being worth more if sold for slaughter than being kept alive by their owners.
Use our new e-action to ask your MP to sign this new Early Day Motion (EDM) to end horse slaughter in the UK.
