Ask your MP to support our call to ban snares

Ask your MP to support our campaign to ban cruel snares by signing EDM 925, paving the way for a debate in parliament.

We have re-launched our government petition calling for a ban on the use of snares. If 100,000 people sign it, we stand the chance of getting a debate in parliament about this issue. It is estimated that more than a million animals, including foxes and badgers, are killed by these horrific devices every year. Even cats and dogs become trapped in them and suffer unimaginable pain and sometimes death

Ahead of the debate, we are gaining parliamentary support through an Early Day Motion (EDM 925), which is a way for MPs to show their support for an issue.

Please ask your MP to sign this EDM and show their support for a ban on snares.

(This EDM was tabled in the 2021-22 session was signed by 43 Members).

The government has said it will keep its promise to implement a ban on snares in England – but we need to keep the pressure up and make sure this happens as soon as possible.
