Big changes at Animal Aid and a very fond farewell
After many years of dedicated service to animals and the movement, our Director, Iain Green, will be stepping down from his role at Animal Aid.
We’re writing to share an important update about leadership at Animal Aid.
After many years of dedicated service to animals and the movement, our Director, Iain Green, will be stepping down from his role at Animal Aid.
Iain has played an important role in shaping the organisation and strengthening our campaigning voice. During his leadership, Animal Aid achieved a number of significant milestones, including the BBC Panorama exposé into horse slaughter, the banning of snares in Wales and Scotland, and major progress in our campaign to end animal experiments.
A lifelong advocate for animals, Iain has brought passion, determination and integrity to the role, and we are extremely grateful for his longstanding commitment to animals and social justice.
As one chapter closes, another begins. We are pleased to announce that Sean Gifford will be joining Animal Aid as our new CEO.
Sean joins us from The Humane League UK and brings extensive experience in campaigning, leadership and advocacy. He shares Animal Aid’s vision of a world free from animal exploitation and is committed to helping build a kinder future for all animals.
While leadership may evolve, our mission remains unchanged. Animal Aid will continue working tirelessly to challenge cruelty, expose injustice and campaign for freedom and rights for all animals.
We know that meaningful change is only possible because of the dedication of our supporters, campaigners, volunteers and advocates, and we are excited for this next chapter together.
We’ll share more in the coming weeks, including an opportunity to hear directly from Sean.
Thank you, as always, for standing with animals.
