Celebrities join anti-hunt demonstration outside Parliament

On Saturday 9th May, 3.15pm, hundreds of activists gathered together for a rally outside Parliament, at the Old Palace Yard, with one powerful message: End hunting now!

Our friends at the League Against Cruel Sports organised this rally, to highlight the fact that animals such as foxes, hares and deer are still being hunted every week in the British countryside, despite the ban, and called for the public to voice their opinion as part of the government consultation, regarding banning trail hunting and closing any loopholes in the current Hunting Act 2004.

This government consultation now has less than 6 weeks remaining for submissions.

Tears, cheers and creative costumes

Animal advocate celebrities; Chris Packham, Megan McCubin and Peter Egan all gave powerful speeches with their own stories and experiences relating to the hunting of wild animals.

The rally was attended by many grassroots groups, activists and animal rights organisations attended the rally such as Animal Aid, Protect the Wild, Hunt Saboteurs Association and the Badger Trust.

Our colleagues at the League Against Cruel Sports have put together excellent advice on responding to the government’s Consultation.  Ideally, you’ll answer the questions using your own words, and the League has provided suggestions to help you do so. But, if you are really short of time, you can use their pre-written response button.

A powerful day with a clear message - hunting must end for good. No animal should be chased and torn apart for so-called 'tradition' or sport. The public need to speak up and the government must listen, and act!

We may never get another chance like this. Please take a few minutes to respond and make sure that the government hears us loud and clear!

Take action for foxes

You have until 18th June to make your voice heard. Tell the Government that the savage treatment of foxes will be accepted no longer
