Our anti-shooting campaign takes on a bold new challenge

The next phase of our campaign to ban shooting tackles the trapping and killing of crows and other corvids, all to protect the interests of the shooting industry.

Last year, Animal Aid patron and wildlife expert Chris Packham launched Killing our Countryside – a campaign exposing the environmental harms of the shooting industry.

The next phase of the campaign looks at another, lesser known harm: the trapping of crows and other corvids, who are then killed by gamekeepers, all to protect the interests of the shooting industry. Corvids are problem solvers, family orientated, and fiercely loyal. They remember faces, they play and mourn, and every one of them is an individual with a life to live. Yet the shooting industry sees them as “pests” to be eliminated.

Birds deserve better.

We won’t stop until shooting is banned. Later this year, we’ll be taking to the streets to raise awareness and build a movement that refuses to stay silent. Whether you’re sharing online, handing out leaflets, or joining us in person – every action helps.

These brilliant birds need allies. They need you.

Take a closer look

Corvids like crows, ravens, magpies and jays, are truly brilliant birds. So why would anyone want to harm them?

Take action for birds

Millions of birds suffer for this elitist pastime. We won’t stop campaigning until this cruel industry is banned.
