Exploring the needs of animals and the role of animal sanctuaries.

The Meet the animals! film prompts a discussion about how animal mothers care for and protect their young in a sanctuary setting. Pupils also participate in an interactive sound activity, learning to differentiate animal vocalisations.
This is followed by a card-sorting activity involving matching mothers of different species with their offspring and a lifecycle activity to illustrate the gestation and development of young animals.
