The Great Vegan Challenge
Throughout the whole month of November people all over the UK will be going vegan for Animal Aid's Great Vegan Challenge. There'll be all kinds of support including free recipes, nutritional and shopping advice, information videos, exclusive events and more. Saturday 30 November: Animal Aid's Southwest Christmas without Cruelty Festival
Come along to the Exeter Corn Exchange, Market Street, Exeter EX1 1BW on Saturday 30 November from 10am to 4.15pm. Free admission. We think we’ve put together our most exciting best Exeter show to date! As well as all the usual features, we have Christmas cookery demonstrations and some great new stalls. And as always, a 30-minute performance of seasonal songs from our ever popular World Music Choir. Saturday 30 November: Compassionate Derby
From 10:30am-4:30pm at St Peter’s Church, St. Peter's Street, Derby, DE1 1SN. Free admission. Free vegan food samples, talks and films. Stalls from a range of charity and campaign stalls, as well as vegan products.
There is also a benefit gig afterparty in aid of Brinsley Animal Rescue in Ryan's bar (directly next to the venue!) from 6pm, which will feature a range of musicians who are also campaigners for animals. Find out more on the website or event Facebook page.
Saturday 30 November: Cruelty-free Christmas Fair, Shrewsbury
Please come along to Shropshire Wildlife Trust, 193 Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury SY2 6AH between 10am and 3pm for a tombola, charity stalls, crafts, vegan food and gift, plus free samples and more! Free goody bags for the first 100 visitors. Find out more on the event website.
Saturday 30 November: March against the Badger Cull, Bristol

Saturday 30 November: National March against the Fur Trade, London
Meet 12 noon, inside the "Grand Entrance" to Hyde Park, Hyde Park Corner, London SW1X 7LY. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner. Although the breeding and the killing of animals for their fur has now been illegal in the UK for over a decade, there are still hundreds of shops in London which continue to sell fur which has been imported from other countries where these practices are still carried out. This year, the march will once again be taking the protests directly to the shops and businesses responsible for keeping this trade going, including some of the most famous names in fashion and retail. Saturday 7 December: Birmingham Christmas without Cruelty
Come along to this event which will feature more than 30 stalls offering a wide variety of animal-friendly products including chocolate, cosmetics, Xmas cards, cakes, recipe books, health food, soaps, sweets and more. Free vegan food samples, a vegan cafe, tombola and everything you need to enjoy a compassionate Christmas! Held at Carrs Lane Church Centre, Birmingham City Centre, B4 7SX from 10.30am to 4pm. Sunday 8 December: Animal Aid's Christmas Fayre
Animal Aid's annual Christmas Fayre will be on Sunday 8th December 2013 at Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London, W8 from 10am until 5pm. Entry £2, under 11s free. (The closest tube station is High Street Kensington.) The fayre will feature more than 95 stands promoting ethical living and cruelty-free products – representing campaigning groups, animal sanctuaries, ethical companies and food outlets. Saturday 14 December: National Protest to Free the NIBSC Primates
Starting at 12noon, the Anti-Vivisection Coalition (AVC) will be holding a torch-lit vigil outside the National Institute for Biological Standards & Control (NIBSC), Blanche Lane, South Mimms, Potters Bar, EN6 3QG calling for the release of the primates used for experiments there. Saturday 21 December: Worcester Cruelty Free Christmas Fair
From 11am-4pm at the Angel Centre, 14 Angel Place, Worcester WR1 3QN. There'll be more than 15 stalls including cruelty-free gifts, vegan cookbooks, tombola, talks workshops and delcious vegan food. Organised by Worcester Vegans and Veggies, entry is free.
Saturday 21 December: Preston Vegan, Green, Fairtrade, and Human Rights Fair
Taking place from 11am-5pm, this fair is taking place at two venues directly opposite each other.
Upstairs at Roper Hall, 114 Friargate, Preston, PR1 2EE there'll be 30 stalls and free vegan chocolates and sweets given out by Santa
At the Beautiful Planet veggie/vegan cafe, 69 Friargate, Preston, PR1 2ED there'll be free vegan food, vegan speed dating and vegan speed meeting.

Sunday 26 January: Protest against the GBGB Awards Ceremony, Manchester
Meet at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester, M3 4LQ at 4pm. Every year the Greyhound Board of Great Britain hold an awards ceremony to congratulate themselves and the greyhound trainers for exploiting greyhounds over the year. Everyone who is against the racing industry, everyone who has rescued a greyhound, everyone who thinks exploiting these beautiful animals is wrong please come along to this protest. March: Leicester Secondary and Primary Workshops
Please help us to meet the ever-growing demand from teachers for talks on animal issues. By giving talks to schoolchildren, you can help form their lifelong attitudes towards animals. We are holding two training workshops in March. The first, focusing on speaking to secondary school students, in Leicester on Saturday 8th March. The second, in Leicester on Saturday 22nd March, will concentrate on primary school pupils.. Find out more and register.

April: London Secondary and Primary Workshops
Please help us to meet the ever-growing demand from teachers for talks on animal issues. By giving talks to schoolchildren, you can help form their lifelong attitudes towards animals. We are holding two more training workshops in April. The first, focusing on speaking to secondary school students, in London on Saturday 12th April. The second, in London on Saturday 26th April, will concentrate on primary school pupils.. Find out more and register.
Saturday 12 April 2014: Live a Better Life Fair, Liverpool
130 stalls plus talks, cookery demos, film screenings and a prize draw. This year, another room with seating and music will be available to offer people more space to relax in between looking around the event. More information at http://www.fair.labl.org.uk/.

Saturday 17 May: Manchester Vagan Fair

Friday 23 – Sunday 25 May 2014: VegFest Bristol
Taking place at the Amphitheatre and Waterfront Square, VegFest Bristol is one of Europe's biggest vegan events. Entry on the Friday evening is £10 and £5 before 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday; children under 16 go free. Visit the VegFest Bristol website for updates as they come in.
Saturday 7 June 2014: North West Vegan Festival
11am – 7pm at Lancaster Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ, and 1pm – 9pm at the Gregson Centre, 33 Moorgate, Moor Lane, Lancaster, LA1 3PY. Saturday 13 September 2014: Northern Vegan Festival
10am – 6pm at Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Entry £1 (under 12s free). After huge success in 2013, the Northern Vegan Festival is back and at an even bigger venue.
