I must say that Gary was an excellent presenter, and we liked the way how he explained everything to us, his PowerPoint presentation and what is more, he was so passionate about veganism and the welfare of animals. We very much enjoyed and learnt a lot from him yesterday.

      Talk on veganism

Dean engaged well with the students and staff. He was informative but funny too, which helped keep the girls focused and interested. Dean brought vegan samples, which went down a treat with everyone! He provided personal experience which made the talk feel more personal and believable.

I just wanted to mention the students absolutely loved yesterday's session, it was every educational for our students so thank you very much, I can't wait to book you again for the following year and maybe even for a different year group.

An excellent presentation and demo for the year 10 pupils. They found it really engaging and interesting. We look forward to having Gary back next year!

Rebecca was a great speaker and her slides and materials were spot on using a good balance of text/images/videos. Our students were very interested and engaged by her presentation and asked lost of questions at the end

The talk has food demo, slides and a video - good mixture of info which keeps the pupil interest going.

Remote talk in Design & Tech

This was excellent for our students, they learnt so much and gave our students a different and new perspective about the use of animal skin for clothing. It was interactive and pitched at the right level and the students asked questions which was great. The tech worked and it was good to see Lee on the screen too. The samples that were pre sent was a good source for students to analyse too. Thank you so much.

Dene has been coming to Hadlow for around 10 years, & has been informative, knowledgeable & engaging with the students

      Animal Experiments

      Animal Experiments

Discussions on topics related to animal experimentation and including a student input into most of the conversations disclosed. Topics from veterinary, the use of animals in laboratories and how this could change for the future. Adding the additional details on governments and the laws that could be in affect

The students were provided with a tasting session which they thoroughly enjoyed. The stickers were well received by the students along with the recipe booklets and information sheets provided by the presenter at the end of the session.

Nicola did really well. We have a high percentage of SEN children and she adapted her talk brilliantly and listened well when the children were trying to share their views.

Natasha pitched the talk and activities correctly for this low level English group of learners. Good use of visuals to highlight language points which could otherwise be lost. Informative discussion, students asked questions which showed they had understood the main points. Cooking demonstration included students with cooking and preparing. They all enjoyed trying the food at the end. Most of the students are muslim so it was great for them to know that all the food is halal for them. It was a very impressive session. Thank you.

What worked well was the interaction between Dene and the students, he allowed them to talk freely and have good discussions on the topic. Dene's knowledge and experience in the equine industry allowed him to put together a presentation linking animal rights with the equine welfare aspect included.

The link to the GCSE course both through practical and theory. The demonstration provided students with a knowledge of the making of a meat free dish along with an awareness of the reason for the ingredients included in the recipe. Nutrition which is a key part of the GCSE syllabus was included in the session and links to the eatwell guide. The presenter was able to include real life examples as part of the session and included health benefits along with reasons for choosing a meat free diet.

      Animal welfare primary talk

      Animal welfare primary talk

Vocabulary included in the talk was great as it was related to our current topic of living things and their habitats. Children really enjoyed it and were really engaged in both the talk and the task.

Wonderful, interactive and pitched beautifully to Year 1 children. Nice they learned about animal well being in health and well being week.

The film included as part of the session provided an awareness of the treatment of animals and the content was ideal for the age group. There was opportunity for students to ask questions to develop their knowledge further and a good dialogue was created through this between the presenter and the students.
