Take a stand for race horses

Posted on the 22nd March 2016

For those horrified by the deaths of seven horses at the 2016 Cheltenham Festival, please make a pledge to help with Animal Aid's Horse Racing Awareness Week.

This takes place from 3 to 9 April – the week leading up to the country’s most famous race: the Grand National.

Please order our popular Sanctuary not Cruelty leaflets to distribute to friends, family and in your local neighborhood. The Sanctuary not Cruelty initiative asks those who are concerned about the National to support specialist sanctuaries that rescue horses – including ex-racehorses – instead of betting on horse races.

You can also join our protests taking place on 9 April at the gates of Liverpool’s Aintree Racecourse and at Channel 4 in London.
