Speak out for animals in the General Election!

Posted on the 11th May 2017

Please note - this page relates to the 2017 general election - keep an eye on our Homepage and our social media accounts for new campaign actions for the 2024/25 General Election.

With the General Election fast approaching, we need your help to get the best results for animals.

Please take the actions below, to make sure that animals have a voice.

1.When we leave the EU, animal protection laws will be in serious danger. Please ask the candidates in your area to pledge to protect existing animal welfare laws, and strengthen these wherever possible.

2. If a candidate knocks on your door, please ask them about their policies on animal protection issues. They need to know that having animal-friendly policies could win them votes.

3. Please consider supporting the candidate in your area who you believe is the most animal-friendly. They may ask you to help them by delivering leaflets door to door, or by displaying a poster in your window. These small actions can have a big result, especially in marginal constituencies.

Thank you so much for your help.
