One-in-eight British adults is veggie

Posted on the 1st October 2014

A survey conducted by Mintel has found that one-in-eight British adults has ditched meat and fish, with that number rising to one-in-five for younger people aged 16-24. The research found that millions more people have also reduced their meat consumption.

This huge growth in the popularity of vegetarianism is great news and means that far fewer farmed animals will suffer and die for the sake of the nation’s food.

If you’re interested in going meat-free, please order one of our FREE Go Vegan packs. If you’re already vegetarian, why not take the next step and take part in our Great Vegan Challenge?
