Snares petition relaunch – please sign

Posted on the 20th December 2021

As many of our amazing supporters know, our last government petition calling for a ban on snares got really close to the 100,000 signatures needed to trigger a parliamentary debate on this important issue.

Sadly, we didn’t quite make it – but, because we got such a huge amount of attention and support towards the closing phases of it (the petition only has six months to achieve the required 100,000 signatures, which is a tall order), we have decided to give it another go.

The good news is we’re off to a flying start, and thanks to the hard work of celebrities like Chris Packham and Peter Egan, there’s every chance we can get 100,000 signatures by 9 May 2022 and trigger a parliamentary debate.

So, even if you signed the last petition, we still really need you to do the same again for this new one. And please ask all your friends, colleagues and family to sign it. Please note government petitions require you to verify your signature and will send you an email with a link to click, after you have signed.

This is the shortcut to the petition, if you want to send an email or message directly to your friends: www.animalaid.org.uk/snares
