This advertisement appeared in the Guardian and Daily Ban the sale of gun magazines to children adExpress newspapers on Saturday, October the 27th. The adverts are part of Animal Aid’s campaign, aimed at frustrating the gun lobby’s attempts to recruit new young shooters. Government figures show that the number of people in England and Wales holding shotgun certificates has been declining at a significant rate for more than 20 years. The gun lobby’s own research shows that, if people don’t learn to shoot by the age of 14, the chances of them subsequently getting involved rapidly diminish. Animal Aid’s campaign aims to stop them targeting young people under the age of 18.
