Costa Coffee: We want vegan options please!

Posted on the 30th January 2018

Costa Coffee is perhaps the only major coffee chain not to offer a vegan lunch option.

Demand for vegan products is rising rapidly in the UK as increasing numbers of people adopt a plant-based diet as a way of avoiding animal suffering, reducing their environmental impact and improving their health.

Costa already offers a few delicious vegan items – including its new Paradise Slice – and also has coconut and soya milk as dairy alternatives in drinks. Yet it does not seem to have any vegan sandwiches, wraps, or indeed ANY vegan lunch option at all. The only hot and savoury vegan option is a tomato and basil soup.

Please join us in asking Costa Coffee to up their vegan game even more, by giving us some vegan lunch options!

  1. Please sign the petition
  2. Tweet Costa and ask them to introduce a vegan option.
  3. Send them an email
  4. Write on their Facebook wall
Here’s some suggested text, please personalise it:
Hello. I was disappointed to see that you do not offer any vegan lunch options – despite having a few very delicious vegan sweet treats, and plant-milks.Will you please add a vegan lunch option – such as a sandwich or wrap – to your menu? Thank you.
