Animal Aid Defends Anti-Shooting Adverts

In response to a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) over an Animal Aid advert that ran in the Big Issue, Animal Aid has written to the ASA giving details to fully substantiate the wording of the advert.

Although the ASA only offered an Advice Notice and stated “we won’t be taking any further action on this occasion”, some media outlets have published sections of a press release from a pro-shooting organisation – but without giving Animal Aid the opportunity to fair comment or any sort of response.

Animal Aid will be contacting the media outlets in question once we have had a response from the ASA relating to the evidence we submitted.
