Being vegan on a budget: World Vegan Month

Posted on the 8th November 2023

There is a big misconception that being vegan is expensive, but that needn’t be the case.

Some of the cheapest foods available in shops are plant-based; beans, pulses, legumes, vegetables, fruits, potatoes and wholegrains. Being vegan doesn’t mean you have to splash out on fancy meat replacements (although they are delicious!). Animal Aid’s Plant-based Cooking on a Budget booklet provides all the information you need to eat vegan whilst sticking to a budget. It includes cheap and healthy recipes, nutritional information, shopping tips, and more!
