There is a big misconception that being vegan is expensive, but that needn’t be the case.
Some of the cheapest foods available in shops are plant-based; beans, pulses, legumes, vegetables, fruits, potatoes and wholegrains. Being vegan doesn’t mean you have to splash out on fancy meat replacements (although they are delicious!). So, you can do your bank balance some good by opting for cheaper plant-based protein sources.
Animal Aid’s Plant-based Cooking on a Budget booklet provides all the information you need to eat vegan whilst sticking to a budget. It includes cheap and healthy recipes, nutritional information, shopping tips, and more!
