The Great Vegan Challenge returns!

Posted on the 27th September 2016

This November sees the return of our ever-popular Great Vegan Challenge. Thousands of people have taken part in this annual vegan pledge month since 2012 and for many it has been a life-changing experience. It’s FREE to take part and it's a fantastic way to prevent animal suffering, be more eco-friendly and improve your health.

Great Vegan Challenge logoAll you have to do is pledge to give up animal products for the whole of November. In return, we will send you a welcome pack full of useful information, plant-based recipes and advice on nutrition and shopping. You’ll also get access to an exclusive Facebook group, regular email updates throughout November and news about special offers and competitions.

Sign up before 30 September and you’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win one of 10 FREE tickets to London Vegfest (22-23 Oct) – one of the largest cruelty-free events in Europe!

With almost one billion animals being farmed and slaughtered for food in the UK every year, boycotting this industry by going vegan is one of the best things you can do to prevent suffering and cruelty. But going vegan is also good for the environment as plant-based diets have a much lower carbon footprint than meat-based or vegetarian ones and it requires less water and land to produce crops compared to animal-based products. Studies have also shown that vegans tend to suffer lower rates of heart disease, stroke, obesity, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer, so it’s great for your health too.

Sign-up for the Great Vegan Challenge now or email challenge@govegan.org.uk for more information.
